Here is a memory brought back to life with a walk along a small stream close to were I live today.

Twin Mountain

I remember arriving at old logging bridge, rod in hand with a box of worms , following my uncle up to the edge of the brook water flow was fast the sound of the water being forced upon the sheets of granite Rocks was deafining But was cool to see , my uncle laced apeice of worm on for me just below a slip bobber clear with some green in it if i remember correctly ? as indicator. oh how i remeber getting so upset as the bobber would float down and get tuged under, sure enough worm gone, the fish always one step ahead of me, on this trip. LOL i was shown by my uncle the beautiful little wild Brook trout in the river so i had proof they exsisted. I never did land one that day but feel this is the time i Started realized the challange of fishing at age say 7 or so . This is when the wheels started turning and i Desired to become a fisherman. even as a kid i would fish In hillsboro NH i could remember my dad bring me down with my equipment and actually tying a rope around my waist on the side of the "took" so i could go fishing by my self, would spend hours on end alone fishing down there Catching all kinds of species many carp looking back on it but they fought like the dickens and it was a hoot

All of this came back to me today while on my walk along a small brook i often fish near my house. i took many pictures this morning of said brook and will share at some point inthe small stream Thread

Ziggy

This is a great first effort at posting a story.  I had to do a little work on it but not much.

Thanks for sharing.

I spent a lot of time with my little brother as a kid sitting on the dock's of Mallet's Bay on the SOuth end of Lake Champlain, with our Zebco 202's.  We would sit with our feet in the water until we caught a gar and decided there were things in the water that looked scary.

We would catch a lot of Sheep head, yellow perch, catfish and bullhead (horn pout in NH).  We would be amused from dawn til dusk as long as there were some works and our trusty old red and white Dare Devil spoons.

The ecology of that lake has changed over and over in my life time, as different species take hold and change ranges, but it is always a mystery what you will pull out next.

Thanks for the story man, it really took me back.
