We are pleased to announce the availability of glFusion v1.5.1. This release continues to fine tune glFusion, providing several minor bug fixes to our last major release. We also added a new enhancement, increasing the size of the story and static page IDs from 40 characters to 128.
For our users who are already running glFusion v1.5.0, we are providing incremental archives which only contain the files changed from v1.5.0. For folks running an older version of glFusion, you will need to use the full distribution archive. For both the incremental and full distributions, once the files have been copied to your server, run the Upgrade Wizard. We hope you enjoy this new release!

With glFusion v1.4.0, we are making a shift to HTML input as the standard input type. For comments, contacting users, mailing stories, HTML is now the default. You can select text mode input, but you no longer have the ability to toggle between input methods at the time you are entering text. To better support this change, we have replaced the old FCKeditor with a more modern WYSIWYG editor, CKEditor. We also offer TinyMCE as a plugin if you prefer that WYSIWYG editor. This has also driven significant updates to how HTML input is filtered. We've fixed a security issue in the filtering and also expanded the ability for you to define what HTML elements you will allow.
Over the past couple of weeks, we've all see the BOT traffic increase on our websites. Many of us saw a large number of BOTs registering on our sites. It became clear that the standard CAPTCHA implementation we used simply didn't provide the protection we need. We can't be sure, but it seems obvious that the CAPTCHA was broken where an automated system could read and properly responds to the CAPTCHA challenge. We released glFusion v1.3.2 this past weekend to improve the CAPTCHA offerings and to fix a few minor bugs.
We have identified and fixed a few additional issues in glFusion v1.3.2 so we are releasing patch level #1 to address the following issues:
To simplify the installation of this patch level release, we have packaged all the updated files into a single archive. Download the glFusion-1.3.2.pl1-delta.zip file and copy the files to your server. There is no need to run the upgrade wizard.
All glFusion users should upgrade as soon as possible!
For more information on Patch Levels, please see the Known Issues page.

We have significantly improved the CAPTCHA plugin, integrating PICATCHA - an image based CAPTCHA system. User's do not have to enter a string, instead they select images based on the instructions on the screen. This has stopped the current BOT attacks dead.
