Mike

I edited the post to make the photo's a little smaller hope you don't mind.

Now Shad are often refrerred to as the POOR MAN's Salmon. Did they jump at all?? I have only caught two in my life and they were both about 18 inches long and good fight. I also have hurd that if they spawn they don't fight as good as they do before the spawn.

Lee

P.S. Nice job guy.

Mike

What fly did you use for them?? Nice to see you are becoming more diverse in your fishing.

Hey Mike , Looks like a good time. How big were the Shad ? Were you using your 9wt telephone pole ?Big Grin

Looks like some good water where you were fishing. Do these shad stay in this system or do they migrate to the stream then leave ? Just currious.

They are nothing special....LOL

Dave
Shad were 4-7 lb and yes I had my "trout" rod Mr. Green We were fishing the Annapolis River 5 minutes from my house. The shad run here from early may til early July and yes the spawn then go back to sea.
