Whoa politics!!!  I think immigration here is bad news.  Illegals everywhere and nobody seems to give a shit.  Open up the doors to every other foreignor that wants in we haven't completely tapped the middle class with taxes yet!

But yeah I know what we are saying about fish.  It is ridiculous that the conservation of species is not of the highest importance.  I think that there is a better way that just pu and take stocking.

Is the fishing population to dense for any other method?

HMMM i wanted to say all kinds of stuff about this but not sure what to say :

I will start with this , there are wild fish(not native) in nh and they do reproduce in certain areas, this doesn't mean it will support the amount of pressure put on areas that this occures, i think when fish and game realize this they try to protect it , but fisherman are not the only thing that fish , animals have to eat as well and i am sure do pretty good job on the population , along with bigger fish eating the smaller fish .  IT is what it is , i could care less if its a stocked fish or a wild fish as long as it tugs on the line. There are plently of beautiful fish to be had big ones too , seems every year this topic comes up and revolves around the stocking program , what about the thousands of hold overs that fill our lakes and the 5-7 lb rainbows and salmon that can be had , yep the fishing pressure is greater and people take fish , its there right as long as its legal , we will never stop the illegal activity . when i see someone take a fish sometimes i wonder what there life is like? perhaps they are layed off such as i,  but not in a good spot and that fish is going to feed his 2 little kids tonight , i use to judge but like the saying goes "don't judge until you walked a mile in my shoes"

I practice catch and release for the most part but kept a couple of salmon to give to a friend , i may keep 5 trout a season , and if i catch a big trophy fish most likely would keep it for a mount.

I feel people are too dependant on fish and game to put the fish there when there is already fish there i catch fish year round in this state , i can say i have caught a bunch of trout and salmon and can say these fish were not stocked this year or prob even last year , if i had to depend on fish and game my season would start this week and end in about 3 , what fun would that be . thats how it is for most people, they bitch cause the fish are not there, they are happy for 2- weeks when they are , then bitching to fish and game cause there are no fish 3 weeks later  . stockies are great fun easy to catch for a bit but really adapt and become harder  to land they hold over and hide , move on from the area.

As far as immigrants and people taking fish if they are here legally and have lic and keep the limits provided by the state good for them . if they are not and you see them call the fiah and game . We are really the front line against this stuff when we see it we must report it . if everyone did this instead of looking the other way it would be come less of a problem , they may continue to do it but if they get caught more then once it might sink in , not to mention if they are not here legally could take care of that problem as well . the world is crazy place and we have to take care of ourslelfs 1st then our resources.

Imagine if fish and game didn't post stocking report anymore .... it would go back to the wayit was when i was young have to work for your fish . people really ned to try to get off the chasing the stocking truck and go out and learn new water find fish and catch them, there are so many places to catch beautiful fish that most people never see or make it too cause it involves work . In general People are lazy just the way it is . let them catch and keep all the stockies that what the program was intended for , there are still plenty of fish to be had in this state . there always is the chance a few will make it and could become the next state record.

Only other advice  i give to truck chasers is if you want better  fishing move to alaska or somwhere like that.

I think we have a great fishery right here in NH with plenty of oppurtunities for everyone , Good luck out there wether you chase the trucks or not,  a fish is a fish.

You better have F&G on speed dial my friend. Ask em for their green card. License? "No need in my country...".  Limits? Just as many as they can possibly carry out on the first trip, and then they'll return with some friends for more.

They've found out that there is some spectacular fishing in the FFO waters when they toss out the night crawlers under the red and white bobbers. Right there on the Newfound River in Bristol.  "What you mean Fly fish only? We no fish for Fly"

i know koda this is not a pefect world and we would like to think everyone is doing the right thing but just now adays not true. i would report them every single time i saw them with lic plate numbers eventually they will get caught then they can play the game with i speak no  english . they are trying to crack down on this but can only be in so many spots at once i saying is what comes around goes around . plenty of non imiigrants doing the same if not worse Smile are country lost control on the immagrant thing it sucks but what can we really do ? i could go on and on but it is same old story . america took stuff for granted (became complacient and lazy,  had that i am better then you attitude ) gave lesser jobs to these people and then they worked there way up to jobs most of us try to do daily but much cheaper cause they live like kings on 10$ hour compared to us .

It's a loaded one for sure Ziggy. Somehow, I don't think bringing 3rd world nation refugees here and turning this into a 3rd world country is the right thing to do.  We can't be taking in all these people. Jobs are scarce enough without some fool low balling to stick around here.  And you just know, if some American company can get cheap labor what the trend will be. Wages won't go up, they'll go down.

Pack em up and ship em back Mr. Green

anyone wants to hear the opinion of an immigrant? Smile or it's much easier to blame everything on them.

 Sebastian,

I would love to hear your prospective.  The immigratation control issue in my opinion has more to do with illegals and people who will never thrive in our country or bring good to it.

I have indirectly met you and in short order I have concluded that you have brought with you from where ever you came some benefit to America.  My complaint is the large refugee population of uneducated folks that do nothing but mop up tax dollars.  Why does our government do this to us when so many of us are struggling to keep food on our tables and the homless shelters over flow around the country.

I hope not to be so ignorant that I cannot see the perspective of a foreignor in our land.  I have many friends that have immigrated here, but they all have pride in themselves and do the best they can to contribute.  Illegals are another hot button with me.

IMHO if you are an immigrant and you work or have the ambition to, and pay taxes, and are not offended by "American" customs like our celebration of holidays and such, then in my opinion you are welcome, because you are doing your fair share.  I love culture and diversity and in my brief meeting of you "the fish whisperer" that sunny morning at the river's mouth on Silver lake gave me the distinct impression you are not what I would label an immigration problem.

So I certainly hope that you are not left feeling attacked by what I have had to contribute to this conversation and others, as politics and this issue in particular has drawn a lot of attention as of late.  And please feel free to chime in.  Sometimes a different perspective sheds some light and clarity on the matter.

Theron
