Wow, I haven't thought of Kidder mountain in years!  I took my first deer there with Bill Colby from Temple.

There was a nice little bass pond right at the base of the mountain as I recall.

Depending on when, I had a Tipi right in back of that pond Big Grin  A real Lakota Tipi.

Just before I left New Ipswich to move up here to the Lakes region they had come in from the back side of Kidder and laid in some serious roads. By now it's probably all developed.

Back then the timber company had clear cut the top of Kidder, and when it started to grow back in whip sticks the deer and moose were as thick as fleas on a coon dogs back.  It was some better than 300 yards across that cut, a very frustrating  deal for the 45-70. Seemed them critters knew the limitations of the old watermelon thrower as they were always on the opposite side of it from me Laughing Out Loud

The old Fish Farm was still standing as well as the barn, but I understand the son built up in back of the old homestead. Those were some of the good old days Big Grin

2nd Grade I had Mrs. Chappel but I don't remember who was in the class. I can barely remember what I did last week. If you say we were in the same class I trust ya.

I didn't go anywhere. Sometimes I get slammed at work and busy with life and don't post for a week or so.
