I heard from Ziggy tonight.  It seems he had a good run with a fly I tied for him late last season on his light tackle set up.  I believe from his desricption, it was an olive hare's ear version of a scud in size 16 or 18 with a bead head.

I was stoked to a) hear my fly was really productive,  b) that he was having some good times fishing and c) it inspires me more to fight this damn sinus infection and get out there.

I am tying up more of those modified zebra midges that I made for the swap and some kilnkhammers tonight in small sizes for my light tackle.  Size 14's and 16's.

I hope my flies are finding fish for the rest of you as well.

Theron

Man T-Bone . That damn sinus thing knocked me out of work and ruined my two days off when it was in the mid 70's It's been 3 weeks and my lungs still don't feel right . My ear still hurts to boot. I hope you get over it before long . That just plain sucks.  Tie up some of those flies you talked about and post a picture or two If your up to it that is. By the way hows the lip. Hope you went barbless. Thats the only way I fish now days .

Well to see the mod zebra midge look no further than your swap box.  There should be three or four right in there.  The klinkhammer is an emerger that I saw on you tube done with CDC.  But I may opt for a blue dunn dry fly hackle instead.

Sorry no pics at the moment the camera is full of baby pics and I drowned those flies yesterday.

Anybody had any luck with the ones I sent out in the swap?

So I tried to post a video link in my last post here.  Any ideas why it didn't post?  I was thinking it might have to be screened for approval by administration but by now it should be visible.

Theron

How did you try and post the video.  The easiest way to do a video is create a YouTube account and post it there, then embed it in the forum.  Go to the hhelp are to see how you do it.

See Yah
Thanks

Hey  T-Bone I have never fished a Zibra midge before . Are they a still water fly or do you use them like a nymph  ?  I will give one a try Monday if my back feels better.

It is a nymph I believe but I dont see why it wouldnt work in still or moving water.  I'm going tomorrow morning with a fly box stocked with almost a dozen, and Ziggys got 4 in his box too.  So lets make the weekend of the Zebra Midge!  LOL!

As for the posting I have a youtube account and did as the instructions in the help section said.  Or I believe I did anyways....
