Nice Dave and made in USA. You don't see that on many things anymore.
Very nice BUt I have to say that other video that Koda had posted about a bobbin that was a dubbing twister as well still has my vote. I think if I recall correctly it may have done some other stuff too. Can't seem to remember much other than I fell in love with it. And I never even got a chance to get my hands on one.

I've always been a slut when it comes to fly tying tools, and so, of course I have one of these gizmos. And unlike Mikey, I tried it, and I DON'T like it
While it sounds like a pregnant idea, myself, I don't find it to be so. For one, it only has one arm, What's up with that? I got used to two armed bobbins, why after a bajillion years would I wanna change now? It does in fact allow a range of tension, but IMHO, it would have been a better set up if it had a number scheme so you could dial it right in after changing a spool of thread.
The one I have has a ceramic tube. A real PITA to thread as it's super small on the id of the tube. Like anything else, I suppose one could "adjust" to the half hitch feature, but then, I can lay half hitches all day long with my fingers.
I'm with T Bone on the Petajean bobbin. You can thread it in the dark with your eyes closed, it has a straight forward thread tension adjuster, makes slick dubbing loops, and is a joy to use. It's expensive all right, but I don't believe you can wear one out in a life time. Maybe Jamie, my dealer in CT could as he ties right around 250,000 flies a year.
Different strokes for differnt folks, but for me I'll give it a nay. It just may float somebody elses stick though, but I gotta call it the way I see it having both this one and the Petajean. As well as a pile of others. Petajean rules IMHO
If Marc had a sensible price on his Petajean vise I'd own one of those too. But at a price higher than a PSE compound or a good 270 bolt action rifle I'll pass on that one.
You heard it here, you heard it first, and that's my 2 cents and I'm stickin to it.
I thought I would help out the moderator while he is absent. I found this bobbin video i think some of you might find interesting
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
