Got up early this morning and decided i would take my fishing rod for a walk on my birthday . Seeing i just moved near a old but new to me river, that happens to be open year round in the section i live near. i head up the street about 10 min walk to the spot i decided to check out on the way i see some great sign of the rut going on in the deer woods big old scrape in the trail along edge of river nice to see guess i don't have to go too far to find the deer as well . any ways i tie on wooly buger and scud type fly and start drifting it threw the ripples had couple of hits ? hmmm at 1st just thought i was getting hooked on the bottom but come to find out i happened to find a nice little pod of wild brook trout all about 6-8" i eneded up hooking a few landing 2. I moved down threw the strech to find only a few taps fished for 3 hours nice mornig heres a pic or two of the beautiful little wild fish that happen to live in the big river across the street not what i was expecting to catch i was hoping for a bow or two but a fish is a fish and def the latest in the season i have ever landed any fish on a flyrod
