It was very cool! The river possesed pickerel and bait fish, so it was cool to go see the torut. I was amazed at the size of the breeder fish inthe ponds, and pools. It was pretty educational too.
Thanks for taking us Lee! It was a pleasure to meet you in person.

Guys
What you shoulda done at the hatchery was told the cats you needed to edcuate some of those fish so they didn't get all caught right away when they released them. That could have been a lot of fast action
Yeah if it weren't for the netting enclosures over them, and the giant signs that stated "ATTENTION ANGLERS : NO FISHING HERE EVER!" It would have been crazy fun to educate those rainbows that were probably close to 15lbs!
I was just reading a New England guide to fly fishing and the state record rainbow in 1996 came from the Upper Pemi in Bristol. It was 35" long and just over 15lbs. Caught on a Mickey Finn. WOW! What a day that probably was!

LOL to catch a few of them would spoil you .... then you would have to move to the great north where that becomes an average fish ..... Sounds like you had a great trip too bad on the trout / salmon ..... the water at the masoma last week was 62 . lets hope it cools down some ....... if it stays warm may have to put hunting off for a couple of weeks and hit the rivers see what i have been missing all these years.....
Vantastic . Glad you guy's got the chance to hit the waters. Looking forward to the pictures.. Water warm for late September.
Sorry for no pictures yet, maybe tonight if I get a chance. Seems that I get home at night and when I hit the chair I am gone. I will try to do a better job of it tonight.

Hi All
I fished the Merrymeeting River on Sunday morning with members T-bone and Tundra. Had a great time but no Salmon or Trout. Pictures to come this evening. Water was just about the right level but to warm, 69 by my temp check. Another week of colder air will help and little more rain will not hurt either. So after fishing for the morning we decided that the Powder Mill Fish Hatchery was the place to go and see fish. Both T-bone and Tundra had never been there before so it was a real treet for them.
Both are great guys and do hope to fish with both again sometime soon.
As I said picture later tonight.
See Yah
