My best friend has a Magellin (sp) and its really good about $300 cdn. I still use a map and compass but taught GPS in the army. They are a great piece of kit and I will have one some day!!!

I would like to have a good GPS system..But I wonder what use
it would be to me now..The urge to discover what is on the other
side of the ridge seems to have left me. My present compass system
consists of a ball of string..one end tied to the car door.
I think I am like they said about Daniel Boone that when asked if
he ever was lost, he replied "Can't rightly say I was ever lost..But for
two or three days once I was a mite confused."

Its a bad feeling when you reach in your pocket and find a hole instead of your compass. Lucy for me I found a logging trail I had to walk about five mile to my truck but at least I found my way out.
Do any of you own or use a GPS ? If so what would you consider a really good one ate a good price ?
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
