I have used sinking leaders spring fishing the Miramichi River in Canada. They do work nice with a sink tip line. I would think they would work great with a floating line to get the fly down without adding weight to the line or fly. They are a little harder to cast because of the weight of the leader.

Hi Dave
If you really want to sink your fly....Then put a nice night crawler on the fly.
Stephen worms are for you boys up north. Your just sore the Bruins have tied the series and your wife is flashing a broom with the Red Wings sweep. I bet you have been spending lots of time in the work shop
Cutthroat Leader Co. have any of you used this type of leader before. I kind of like the idea of a sinking leader. I know of some pretty deep pools with a fast current these might be the ticket . What do you think ?

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
