Hi All

Caddis asked the question about a good knot for Salmon Flies, so it got me to thinking we need a Basic Knot Page on the site.  We now have one (In the Main Menu to the left), let me know what you think of it.  I tried to get the same person doing all the knots, but had to use a different one for the Blood Knot.  Comment here in this thread.

Thanks

Lee

good idea! I have a video on youtube with davy's knot which is my favorite knot to attach a fly to tippet for 5x and thicker. Small diameters don't work that well, you have to double it. It's a very fast knot, probably the fastest out there, and if done correctly is very strong, also. For people that change flies frequently, like I do, it's the perfect knot. This is the link:

Hay Everyone

I just updated how the "Basic Knot Page" works.  Now there is a submenu with three catagories

  1. Fly Line Knots
  2. Leader Knots
  3. Tippet to Fly Knots

Hope this works out OK for everyone and that you like it.  Check it out.

Thanks

Lee
