Nice going guys, wish I could have been there, but my fishing has become limited of late, but some day soon I will get out again.

First of all, thank you Bill for making it possible for me to hook the first shad of my life. I didn't do a very good job landing it but I'm happy. I got a few pictures here:
And yes, the breakfast at Hickory Hill was awesome. I even found the "toothpick" in Salisbury. Nice area, unfortunatelly the fish were far away from the shore, right at the mouth of the river. The seaguls were swarming and diving right at the tip of the jetty. I thought they gonna come upstream a little bit with the tide but rain chased us away so we ended up going home.
Thanks again and I'm looking forward to fishing again with you in the future. This time the flies are on me!
P.S. Lee, please refresh my memory about embedding a video, I posted it on youtube. Thanks!
Video now thats cool Sebastian .. To post the embeded video , Go to utube where your video is copy the embeded code come back to this post and insert using the little thing next to abcright above this block when you doing a reply . just remember to center it . Can't wait to see it.
Quote by: Dave VYou will have to tell me how to add a video on utube
First you have to create an account, then you log on and there is a little link that says"upload", you click on it and it takes you to anothere page where you have the option to pick a video file from your computer or record streigth from the web cam. then you pick a thumbnail, tags, caption, so forth. give it a try and let me know how it works out. And don't try with big files, it will take forever to upload.
Sebastian
You did good but you need to do two other things.
1. Uncheck "related video's"
2. Check "show border" and select the blue border, fourth from the left.
Also 500 picels wide should work fine for size.
I have gone into this thread and made the edits needed, deleted one post by Dave and and one by me and fixed up Sebastian's post of the video.

I got a message from Sebastian on this site that he was interested in trying for shad with a fly, he contacted me on the phone and after a short discussion we set up a time and place to meet. Sunday morning at 6:30 at the parking lot below the Stone Dam in Lawrence. Sebastian showed up right on time, punctuality, always a plus in my book. After an introduction, Sebastians wife also came along as they were to make a day of it after fishing, we headed for the water. The run is slowing down from what I can gather from the spin fisherman that were leaving the water as we were going in. We did manage to hook up and we landed a few also. It started to drizzle at around 7:30 and a decent light rain around 8:30, by 9:30 I was pretty well soaked so we called it a day. Sebastian and his wife were headed off for breakfast and a ride to the coast and I went home for a nice hot shower. Always nice to meet people with a common interest and even better when they turn out to be nice enough that you would want to fish with them again. Next time trout in the streams of NH.
The pictures below are of Sebastian tying on flies and then playing a shad on the fly.
Bill I edited the post for you, edit it yourself and see how it is done. Lee
