Nice looking fish Bill .  Keep em coming . I think you got me beat as far as pounds go this year. I think it will be a couple of weeks with no rain to get fishing back to normal here in SD.  I hear WY and MT are having lower then normal perception this year so maybe I will take a little vacation and head out that way.

Now if you were to ask me what fly rod has the most sentimental value I'd have to say the one that was passed down to me from my Dad.  I can't tell you much as the original markings have long since worn off and Dad wasn't much for fancy stuff. He once told me that he had ordered it in the late 50's from Orvis. The original flyline is still on it and the reel looks like a Pfleugar medalist, but once again there are no markings on it.  I'm guessing it is a 7 wt but I'm not sure. He used it for fishing for everything, lakes, streams with bait and fly's. It was his main rod no matter what type of fishing he was doing.

Be aware that my fishing buddie here in the states is Bill Franke, and he is the one with all the replacement parts for those pfleuger reels.  Go to his site and see all the parts that he makes for those great reels.

Thanks

Lee

My favorite big water and big bug rod is my 6 wt  9' Sage XP 4 piece. That sucker will flat toss line!

My favorite all around and back woods rod is my Redington Wayfarer 6 piece for a 4 wt. and it is a 7'6" stick.
