Ya but Lee . From the photo's or lack of photo's should I say . If you ask me if you add up all the little fish me and you catch and show the photo's as proof I would say we are a good 50 lbs ahead in my book. Dang where did the smiley faces go
For the past 25 years my rod has been a Daiwa 9foot 6, 8 wt..kevlar wound.
My spare has been the same except only graphite, not kevlar wound. Original price was
about $120..Now they are about $50..As you can tell, I don't fish small streams much.

Hey Lee by the way when are we going to chase those beauties again? I hit the Saco and the Ellis Thursday with 2 of my buddies. On the Saco I did ok landing 8 but on the Ellis I got skunked. We just fished Timmy's and since the road repairs the pool has changed seemed silty. Stopped at the shop but they closed at 5pm. Fished till dark on the Saco then ate at the 99 in N. Conway and drove home. Got in at 12:40 am, too old for this stuff.

Any hatches on the Saco?? I plan to fish the Rapid with Bill Franke first of June, But we need to get together soon up in the Whites. You retired now?? If so seems like you can go anytime I can, true or not. Let me know.

Retired May 2nd, and don't know what to do with myself. Oh yes I do, fish, mind my grandson one day a week, fish, tie flies and you got it fish some more. Any Monday to Thursday is best, I try not to fish weekends if I can help it but if thats all you can do I'll adjust.
Plenty of caddis on the Saco. One on BWO chute and the rest were on wets.

Will get back soon for a trip, may need to be weekend but that should not hurt us if we fish the small streams, we have them all to our selves anyway.

What fly rod is your favorite??? Such a short question but with many answers. My favorite that I'm currently using is a 10wt (overkill I'm sure some would say) 4 peice TFO, professional series and I don't think that they make that particular model any more. It's matched with an Okuma Integrity I10/11 reel. This is my outfit for salmon and can it ever put the brakes on a big fish when she's headed for the stumps or rocks. Now if you were to ask me what fly rod has the most sentimental value I'd have to say the one that was passed down to me from my Dad. I can't tell you much as the original markings have long since worn off and Dad wasn't much for fancy stuff. He once told me that he had ordered it in the late 50's from Orvis. The original flyline is still on it and the reel looks like a Pfleugar medalist, but once again there are no markings on it. I'm guessing it is a 7 wt but I'm not sure. He used it for fishing for everything, lakes, streams with bait and fly's. It was his main rod no matter what type of fishing he was doing.

OK that one must weigh at least 5 pounds so I've only got 45 pounds to go to catch up. Is my math correct Dave?

I'll have to rest on April 17 laurels as we didn't catch much on the last trip. Oh well there always next weekend to add to the poundage.
