Hi All

I have just upgraded the site to the latest version of glFusion 1.2.0.  The big change for most users is in the forum.  You now can choose the editor you want to use in Account Settings->Forum pref tab and down near the bottom select the editor you want to use.  I still think the WYSIWYG editor is best, has more features.  The smilley's are hiden but there is a button to show them if you need them.  This is also the case in the PM system.  I will have to look up all the changes and will report what they are when I learn them as well.

Thanks

Lee

Thanks for the update Lee, I don't understand a thing you said, but it works when I turn it on. So thanks again.

I'm with you Caddis .  Most of this computer jumbo I shake my head to. I just open the page and if it works I'm happy. I figure Lee is happy with it and thats all I have to know.  So it must be a good thing . Dave V

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,

OK here are more ideas of what 1.2.0 buys us.

1. Lots of admin enhancements (will not effect most users) and security enhancements.  One will effect story submitters like Dave, if the session token expires and you go to submit a new story the program asks for re-authentication, just retype your password.

2. Lots of good changes in the forum.  You now have a pref (Account Settings forum pref tab) to choose the editor you use, I like and have made the default the WYSIWYG editor.  Each user can change if they want.  And now there is a merge topic feature, not sure how this works but I will look into it and report.

3.  Comments now are much nicer, your avatar is used with each comment and the admins get a green strip and the story submitter gets a blue strip.  Look at some comments and you will see what I mean.

4.  In the media Gallery the quotas are now working when they were not with the flash upload.  This will slow down Bill G. a little I know for he has been posting a lot of photo's lately.  There are other enhancements that I will go over later.

5.  There are some changes to the calendar plugin but most don't use it so I will explain as needed with these.

That should just about be it with the enhancements, I feel the system is a fine peice of software and always on the move to be better which it will be in the future.

Thanks

Lee
