Stephen, how did you bind the books? I still prefer to read from a paper copy of a book vice on the computer.

Hi Bill
It is a tedious and time consuming project just getting ready for the book binding
stage. I used PDFill tools(free) to change the pdf file to images. Then I used the Gimp(free)
to convert them to black & white. Then Scribus(also free) to publish them. For the binding
I used info from this site: www.persistenceunlimited.com/2006/03/fun-and-easy-how-to-guide-to-binding-your-own-paperback-books-at-homefast/
Bill-
That's pretty clever!!! I like it!!!
Where did you find the book to download? Do they have others?
Simply go to this site http://www.archive.org/details/texts and search for "artificial flies" or "salmon fishing"
etc. The results will likely scare you. If you like old books, it is the place to go. Avoid most books listed there
that link you back to google books. They are lesser quality and often not downloadable. Enjoy..
I felt like a kid in a candy store when I first discovered the site
All is reasonably quiet. Too poor to do much Christmas shopping.
A while back I downloaded a few old fishing books. Decided I should
print them so I could enjoy reading them. Took a while to gather the
necessary materials and software. The end result was two completed
and another nearly ready for the cover. I even did it the easy way
(softcover), but was still time consuming. Additionally I have finally
attached the tying vise to the table. Total production so far is one
green butt bear hair.
Happy Fishing and Tying
