Thank You Mike for bringing this up. I have made an entry in the Master Calendar to reflect this as well as our (USA) Veterans Day for the same reason.
Thanks again Mike

Thanks to all the Veterans past and present for all you have given so that we can enjoy the freedoms we hold near and dear.
I ment to put the topic as Rememberance/Veretans Day, Lee....my appologies to all the vets and serving members South of the 49th.
Just got back for our local service here in Middleton NS. Man what a great turn out, standing room only in the auditorium.
Here are a couple of pics or me and the family.

You are a hansom dude when you get dressed up. Had to edit your post and make the photo's a little smaller. Next time use the attachment feature of the forum to upload your photo's. Find the forum post that shows how to do that. Here is the link.

Yes thanks to who all put on the uniform and to those who were there to support them . Dave V
In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved, and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.
— Lt.-Col. John McCrae (1872 - 1918)
There was a very large crowd at the cenotaph in Oromocto, NB. Wife and kids attended with me and the weather was the best that I've saw in years. Seems to me that when I was in cadets back in the 80's it was always sideways freezing rain while we stood on parade.

The 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month.........We will remember them!

Lest we forget.
To all our veterans who have made sacrifices so that we can have the freedom we enjoy today, I thank you.
