Pond and lake fishing is what I like to do. I'm always on the lookout for a nice trout pond. Most of the flies I tie are for stillwater. I am also a big fan of stillwater trout fishing gurus Brian Chan and Phil Rowley. They have spent hours and hours studying and fishing trout in lakes and ponds. They are well known for their knowledge of the fish and the bugs they eat.

I hope to see more fly fishermen and women on local ponds in the future. I am always looking for someone to fish with. Look for my white Chevy Blazer at a pond near you.

Russ

It's a new season and I am ready to hit the ponds.  I think my first outing will be Kennebec Pond.  It's been stocked with rainbows and I have a new 5weight that is loaded and ready to fish.  My canoe, kayak or float tube will be ready for smooth water.

Anybody been to Kennebec to see if the ice is out yet?

Not sure where that pond is, but if the weather is anything like it is here in Acton it is still covered with ice.

Russ do you get a New Hampshire license??  If so I will show you a great little pond to fish in the town of Eaton NH.  Let me know if you want to try it together.  Opens on April 23, 2011.  Ice will be gone by then.

Thanks

Lee

I was thinkiing of getting a NH license this year.  I have a friend who is a NH guide and has offered to take to some hot spots for rainbows and browns.  I would like to hook up with you for some fishing this summer.

Kennebec Pond is east of Waterboro.
