September 15th came and went. Trout fishing season is now
over for New Brunswick. But, we can still chase small mouth
bass and salmon for a few weeks yet.

That's cause the weather stunk most of the summer and the high water wouldn't end. My hopes hang on good to great steelies this fall and winter. If all else fails Mass is open year round at least till the ice forms in the rivers.

I agree the fresh water fishing was a bust for most of the first half of the season in southern NH. The early striper season was slow too but a few exceptional days and nights in mid July made up for it.

Season isn't over yet 2 trips still to go. I'll be in Rangeley for three days this weekend. Big Grin Counting the hours! Plan to hit upper dam hard swinging big streamers. Then one to the Salmon River in Nov. I'll be fishing right across the way from where Caddis' avatar picture was taken.
