Caddis
Where will you be fishing in NS this fall. JMO but you'd be better off in New Brunswick. Fishing here is maginal at the best of times.
Mike

Mike, I have a friend that has land near the Mabou River, I have fished the Margaree in the past and would try to hit it again if time and travel is allowed. He goes every year for Celtic Colors a musical gathering which I would attend but my main reason would be to fish, so he tells me the Mabou is near by and has Atlantics.
Caddis I don't fish CB...damn I barely fish at all in NS anymore...hahahahaha....The report I get say the fishing has been poor so far but they are hoping for rain and a decent fall run. Too crowded there for me but as the Margaree is one of the only fall rivers left in this province of ours and it gets quite an influx of people there at that time.
If yah go try a Green Machine , a Shady Lady, and a Black Ghost Butterfly

okay, for one I refuse to buy a snowblower. Only because I'm French and stubborn. Besides The more I labor throwing snow the better the wife treats me!
On another topic the Bangor Daily News of Maine had a good little write up about the NB Miramichi river and I have asked Lee to research posting the artilce on line for every one.
Also, Dave, you should know better waiting so long to get your wood. Spring is the time to get your wood when waters are to high to fish from winter run off! I have our supply all set and only have to worry about fishing this fall season. Besides, fall fishing makes great deer scouting
Hope everyone is doing well,
Scott
Hey Scott getting wood here isnt that easy. Hardwoods are hard to find here in my area. Mostly Pine in the hills and on fed or state land. So I have to wait for some to become avalible or burn pine which I rather not do. Working at Lowes I do come across hardwood pallets and scap lumber so I do burn that. One in a while we have a bad wind storm and i head out to find free offerings. Hey Scott I get to fish all fall and most of the winter. So no rush. lol Dave V
Good, fall fishing here should be good with the amount of rain we have, and are still getting! I may be going out next weekend with the guys and try some new waters. May find a new spot or a fish or two
With all that rain Scott there should be some good waters usally to low to fish this time of year. Beaver ponds must be small lakes. The best part of all your rain is cool water for the trout. No pressure from the fisherman , well most of them, So less stress on them which means they should be feeding well. this in turn should fatten them puppies up. Unless all their food is washing away. Not to rush it but I cant wait to see photos of the fish you guys catch this fall. Dave V
I've been draggin my butt, but finally I called around and got my firewood ordered, should arrive on Monday. My brother is driving down to NB from Manitoba so we'll be getting out fishing at some local areas so I'll try to post the results. As for winter, HA, we've got hunting season first and winter is a long way off, there will be many a trip afield before the snow flies. As of 01 Oct (general waterfowl opener) the guns will open up at day break and it'll be "Flight Cancelled" for alot of ducks. Hopefully get lucky like last year and get a banded bird.
Bill G.
Hey Bill it was 95 today and I got some wood for the upcoming winter. Not much but a couple of trees that should last me a week or so . I plan on getting
a couple cord this year but its to dang hot to venture out and get the stuff. Hey Bill I hate to tell you but old man winter is only 3 months away. Ok maybe 4 but its coming up fasr. Heck collage football starts in 3 weeks. Go Irish . Dave V
Hey Stephen forget what I said about not shooting the messenger, it's open season on Dave V for talking about low temps and snowblowers and winter around the corner. Dave I hope your right about the Steelies in NY and I still have an offer to go to Nova Scotia in the fall also for Atlantics. This could still be a great fishing season.
