Thanks Stephen
i just get a little excited you would think after 30 years of salmon fish'n that would wear off a bit......................not a chance
I told you (God Save The Queen) worked for them. Fishing will never get boring now matter how long I fish. Every fish big and small still makes my heart skip. The frustrating part I understand. You know when you wake up the sky is cloudy and theres no wind. You load up your rod and you jump in the truck. Your driving just a little past legal speed to get there. You jump out of the truck you rig up and then (Frustrating) the sun comes out. The skies are now clear and worst of all the wind starts blowing 40 miles an hour. You walk to your favorite pool and somebody is casting lures
Frustrated

Lehave........ JUst came to me why your handle is the Lehave.. I'm actually heading your way next year around July 20th. Mainly to seek a new adventure but also to write an article for a local magazine. Maybe we will let a line together.
mtnzone I may notbe here then unfortunatly We are relocating to New Brunswick as soon as our home sells. But that could take a while so keep us infoed.
Now the big news I got a fish in the Cemetery Pool tonight and yes it was on a dry fly!!!sorry no pics the guy who tailed it didn't know i wanted a pick and released it, I showed great restraint ..LOL.. seen it take the fly ...waited ...seen his fin ...waited when I saw the tip of his tail I could wait no longer and pulled...LOL
Nice grilse but very dark and not much of a fight. The water was really warm and I put the lumber right to it and didn't give it much of a chance to run.
Mike
Mike very nice. To bad you did not get a picture, next time.

hi lahave
Frusticating and then some is the word when bombing salmon.
When you see the take, count 1-2. Then tighten..That gives the
fish time to start back down (hopefully with the fly in it's mouth).
If not it gives the fish a chance to spit it out without being barbed
so that with a few minutes rest he may come back for a fly.
Great to hear that you are getting in some action.
Stephen
Happy Fishing and Tying
