Hi All

Here in the northeast we are going to get 2 to 4 inches of rain in the next two days, and we are most likely going to have some serious flooding of our major rivers. The Ando is already high and will go much higher after this rain.

The Saco is high and will also go very high with this rain, looks like we will only get to fish in about a week of more, everything is going to get blown out.

Right now (early monday morning) the Saco is 3400 cfs and the Andro at Errol is 6640, as they go up I will post some numbers. Also the Wild river is below 1000 cfs but I am guessing it will top 8000 at the hight of this storm.

it will be a dandy of a day....So Lee, do not rain on my parade
I truly hope you do not get any severe flooding...I know that there is
still a lot of snow in the woods here...A sudden rain would likely
cause a stir here as well.

All streams in my area are free of ice now, but too high and
cold to fish...And yes it is headed our way...forecast said
up to 40 mm of rain.

The long link is to some photos, the other end of the road that I live on is flooded in two places. Only larger vehicles getting through, water over the bumper of a pick up tonight when they went through. I spoke to one gentleman who was using his canoe to get past the flooded area. He had a home built cart to put the canoe on and wheel it up to a person house for safe keeping where his car was parked. His house is not in danger of flooding as it is in a slight hill just the access to it is blocked by the flood waters. With all the rain predicted for the next 24 hours the river is predicted to rise another 2 feet. I wouldn't be surprised if we get to close to the levels seen in the big flood of 73. Maugerville, Jemseg area is under voluntary evacuation and will be mandfatory if the river rises much more. This coupled with all the snow up north yet to melt, we're screwed either way. If it rains the river rises if it gets sunny and warm the snow up north melts and the river rises. I'm going to have to put the hard word to the wife. "Honey, I'm just going to have to get a bigger boat so we can fit the whole family in if the flood waters surround our house, or it's gonna be which kid are we leaving behind?" ha ha not really I 'm pretty sure that I'm safe where I am as the flood waters of 73 never reached where I live now, but I'm keeping an eye on things. I will try to put some pictures on the album of the flooding. In the mean time I'll upload some old photos from McAdam when I was a kid.

Some rivers here in New Hampshire and Maine will be almost as bad, they don't have the size the St. John has but none the less they will flood bad for some people. I am not sure if I can find any pictures but I will look and see whats out there.
