I hit the Kennebec River in Waterville for two days in the rain and caught a good number and varity of fish. I fished the Shawmit dam Sunday night for a couple of hours and landed a good number of 10 to 12 inch browns. I managed to net three nice fish and here they are
This is a 16 inch brown

This is a 14 inch rainbow hard to tell but it is

last a 16 inch SMB

DAY TWO
We decided to bass fish at a dam in Benton and I caught three SMB and saw dead alwievs on hte shore So I decided to get a little bit of heavier gear and head to the last dam the stripers can get to. Right in down town Waterville. We had been there all of a half hour and we got this guy

and we caught a total of three before the river came up too much.

I lost a bit bigger fish mabe in the slot range but the shcoolies are in
Good luck and tight lines

Hey Nice fish, My old stomping grounds except there wasnt many if any fish in that area when I was there. I grew up on Benton Ave in Winslow, I used to love to fish on the Sebesticook (I know spelling is wrong ) we caught white perch ,Large and Smallmouth Sunfish and every now and then eel. This was in the early 70,s man how things have changed now the damn is gone , Stripers and trout by the old Hathaway wow !!!! I cant wait to go home and visit.

Mr. Green Lots of fish around have fun and good luck. the dam in benton is sood for smallies and wadeing and Shawmit has improved a lot and is a fine trout fishery. In Waterville the sripers ar king and are good fishing 24 hours a day I catch most at night. Read the regs and you will do well

I am glad they cleaned up that river. I bet its bringing lots of revenue to the Waterville Winslow area.
