Hi All

Made a trip over to the Merrymeeting and Alton Bay to see if the salmon where in. Yes the fish are in the bay, not in the river yet. The river was very high because of run off, which is good to see. At the docks at Alton Bay I did manage to get one strike but missed the fish. I did see several good fish caught and released, most around 15 to 16 inches with a couple bigger. Will need to try again next weekend if I get a chance.

Lee

P.S. I only took one picture may post it next week if I get over there again.

Hey Lee glad to hear you got out into the fresh air. Spring has sprung going to be mid 70's here today. Good to hear the fish are there and people are catching and releasing the ones they catch. Can't wait to see your photos Dave V

Hey Jake I have to work this weekend but I am off on Thursday Friday as right now it looks like it is going to be in the mid 60's Should be good fishing. Today as I dorve by the bank it said 82. That should bring on a couple of hatches. Now as long as the wind doesnt get to 40 miles an hour I shoul have a good time.

82 we are hppy to hit 50 right now. It may even reach 60 by friday. We still have waist deep snow right now it and it seems to be a rather slow melt this year. We won't be thinking of hatches for at least a month. But in the high water the bigger fish like streamers, so we will get the big fish untill the water warms and the hatches start.
