Hi All

Who has been out fishing already this year?? I have not yet but think I will give it a try this coming weekend. Water is high in most places around here but that may be a good thing over on the merrymeeting river in Alton NH. That most likely will be where I go.

Please report what you have been doing.

Lee

Nice picture Jake, Just think in a few months that section of water will have trees with leaves and green grasses along its banks. Hopefully a wading fly fisherman (YOU) with his fly rod bent and the sound of a screaming reel eccos the forest.

The SJR and Oromocto river is just breaking up in the last few days. Large ice pans floating by today. A few geese and mergansers swimming around. At the park there is a nesting pole and the osprey is back on her nest for the first time this year that I've seen and I go down there every few days.

Won't be long now Bill . Once the ice goes and the water levels drop a lillte then those big boy's will be there for the taken.

Dave, obviously you've got overinflated ideas about fishing in NB. We have our bright spots but our trout fishing has declined alot since I was a kid.

O come on Bill, don't ruin it for me Big Grin You mean to tell me all the my dreams as of late going up to your neck of the woods and fishing for 8 pound brookies isnt true. Man now what am I going to dream about. Laughing Out Loud Next thing you guy's will be telling me is the Atlantic Salmon fishing isn't what is used to be. I am beginning to think you don't want me to come up there and fish your honey holes Bill. All kidding aside thats to bad Bill. I guess one can say its probally to do with fishing pressure. I am sure there are still some remote areas full of large fish. Dave V
