Rapid City South Dakota has one inch of snow covering the ground today, We went though a rough one last night I think the snow fall rate was a 1/4 inch every two hours, maybe a little less. For a second I thought I would have to call into work and tell them I couldnt make it through the blizzard of the year. It was touch and go all night. Panic set in when I relized I had no gas for the snow blower. But me and the wife took turns through the night sweeping the snow of the deck and sidewalk clearing a two foot path to the truck . I was really getting concerned when the wind started picking up and we were getting two inch drifts but the wind died down and soon my fears went away.. I got up early and dusted off the windsheild so the wife could get to work on time. Its a good thing because the snow plows must have been really busy last night and this morning doing the rest of the city I didnt see one go by our street. As the wife left to go to work I handed her the cell phone and told her to call me if she got stuck and stay put until I could get there to rescuse her. I put my mind at ease by loading her a survial blanket and some bottled water and food. I sure hope we don't get anymore snow today like they are calling for . Another 1/2 inch possible. I think I better put the chains on the truck just in case.

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

Dave

You are a POW (Peace of work). I just can't imagine what you would have written had you been here for some of our snow storms, like the one last wednesday (10 inches of snow then ice and rain).
