I had a wonderful Christmas with my family, did not have to travel far and saw all three childrens families for the holiday. The weather was nice so what travel we did ( the longest drive was 15 miles) was easy and nice. Food was good everywhere we went and I must be at least two to three pounds heavier now.

Hope all was well with everyone else out there.

God bless all

Lee

Thanks Mike and Dave

Sure seems like it should be spring by now doesn't it. OH we have to wait till March for that. New Hampshire starts fishing next Tuesday Jan 1, 2008. Some folks around here do fish on that day.

Dave I don't do that anymore. When my dad was alive I did it all the time with him on Great East Lake where I live. We got mostly Lake Trout in the two to three pound range. But I don't like to kill fish now and Ice fishing is hard on them if you want to release them. Just my opinion.

I go to a lake that is full of rainbow and large brook trout . Some Splake to. I like to keep a few small fish for super but for the most part I let them go. I wish we had smelt around here now thats fun .

I had a great Christmas with my girls. Luckily we didn't travel this year, because traveling with 4 girls can be a hair pulling experience Eek!
Of course I don't have hair so THAT doesn't bother me so much.

My wife won't fish with me during the summer but she'll get out there in sub freezing temperatures to pull a few chain pickerel and largemouth bass through an 8 inch hole. Go figure Big Grin

I've never fished for trout through the ice, it has always been warmwater species only, and the neat thing is that I'm still using the same ice sled my Grandfather made back in the 1930's.

Everybody have a good New Years!!
