Has anyone fished the Cold River in NH this time of year? I scouted it last week, and it didn't seem too promising from the road. However, several people have told me it is a great trout fishery.  After my scouting trip, I ended up fishing the Ashuelot River just below Gilsum Gorge, at the worst time 1-3 pm. Hooked and released a couple of nice rainbows.

I do believe there are two Cold Rivers in NH, the one I know about is in Sandwich NH.  Is this the river you are asking about??  That river I have never fished but it is a very nice looking piece of water with some good access.

See Yah
Thanks
Lee

Hi Lee. I was referring to the Cold River that flows by Ackworth, Alstead and into the Connecticut at Walpole. Thanks for the clarification.
