What a great way to spend Memorial Day, doesn't get much better.

Hi Keith and Ziggy
Nice looking water, and those fish are great. Are they wild or stocked?? I sure hope they were wild. Ziggy needs to come back to the site and post some of his fishing, we miss you.
Fished a little today and managed one Rainbow in the Elis River in Jackson.

Nice report. Well done . Great photos. Yes I agree Lee Ziggy is missed here along with T-Bone. Keep them reports coming. Won't get much out of me . Water is over the banks and then some. (:
Well I needed to get away for a few hours so despite all the mounting work to be done I headed out with Ziggy to an undisclosed location in the wilds of Vermont. When we goy there the fish were not rising but you could see them corvorting about in the clear mountain stream. We tried coaxing them with all manners of nymphs, worms, and egg imitations but they were just not biting. Ziggy was the first to hook up and land a nice bow on a lime green nymph, shortly after his girlfriend hooked another nice bow on a prince. Still no love for this guy though, so we moved upstream to the next pool.
We were greeted by a fellow angler coming off the water, he expressed his frustration at the two fish rising right in front of him but refusing to be caught. Sure enough the fish were rising like crazy here, it took us a bit to figure it out but we finally realized it was a mixed hatch of mayflies and midges. After making adjustments it was game on. I hooked up in no time on a sparkle dun in olive ( the fly of the day) landing a beauty of a bow, after that it was a blur we were both hooking up, missing and breaking off fish.
We fished a few more spots and landed some nice fish before calling it a day.
