I'll be out and about in the White Mountains this weekend as well.  Tested out a number of new spots last week on a scouting run,  one turned out to be great, will be giving it a full day on saturday.  Remote fish and hike here I come!

i don't know Dave, I have a 5'6" 3wt and a 10' 4wt Czech nymph rod that have never been used.  At some point it  just becomes hoarding.

What are you going to line it with?  The is not much of a selection in that wt range if you want to stay true to scale.

After fishing my Boo with Lee today I am really  warming up to the silk line.

Silk is on all my boo reels. Much more expensive but casting silk on a boo brings it to a whole other level  I am getting a  Phoenix DT 3wt line for a good deal from Massimo . The one thing about  silk is after day on the stream you must clean , dry and reapply mucilin . Not a problem once you get used to it . Silk also cuts the wind better because of the smaller diameter It gets better with time .The more you cast it the better it cast. . The one downside is you can't fish it in winter or early spring . It will crack the coating . How long have you had your silk ?

I have a Thebault 4wt DT and this is my first time fishing it.  I love the lack of stretch when setting, it still has a few stiff spots but by the end of the day it was softening.  I built a line drier and first thing I did when I got home was unspool the line, clean it, and let it dry.  In the morning it gets a fresh coat of grease. All less than 5minutes work.
