On the advice of Fish Carva some friends and I booked a charter to do a little tuna fishing. Well as luck would have it a strong front settled in on the area the night before our trip making the 50 mile trip unsafe for small crafts. Our guide, Eric of Hairball charters, came up with a plan to save the day, we would stay inshore and fish for stripers.
We had to push off our cast off time until 11am due to some thunder storms passing through, but as we cast off the sky cleared and the sea calmed and we had smooth cruising for the 21 miles to our fishing grounds for the day.
In no time Eric had us on fish, and soon they started to grow in size. We all managed to land fish 36" plus with a few pushing the 40" mark.
Between the three of us we landed over 18 fish before the wind shifted against the tide and the waves began to grow considerably.
The 30 minute return trip turned into an epic adventure that lasted almost two hours, not including the brief stop on the vineyard to give our legs a rest.
It was a great time with some good people and it can't wait to do it again real soon.

Nice Fish Keith, sure is good to see big stripers again. I have not fished for them in a few years now and I am not sure I want to do it again at the beach.
Good Job young man.

where's the like button on here ?
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
