Mark and I headed down to the fly fishing show last weekend and had a great time.  The crowd was fairly small due to the heavy wet snow that was coming down for most of the day.  That was fine by us because we could browse and talk at a nice leasurely pace.

We took in quite a few lectures this year, mostly all geared toward identifying hatches and selecting flies to capitalize on the feeding pattern.

it was fun seeing guides point out photos of their favorite honey holes and Mark and I would just look at each other because we fish the exact same spot....and do quite well.

My favorite class of the day was a dry fly tying class with Dave Klausmeyer.  I had just bought his new book a few weeks before and I got the chance to talk with him about the book, some of the stories in it, and his next book coming out.  I even got him to autograph my copy.

As usual Mark and I walked out with a good haul of merchandise, I picked up a nice saddle hackle in a bright ginger variant and Mark brought home material so that he can start tying.

Great show and I am already looking forward to next year.
