Went out last monday 12/3/13 to a local spot that freezes early for a couple hours, found 3 inches of ice,  caught a bunch of chubs, a few small brookies and one monster.   Took 10 minutes to get him onto the ice, 19 inches, 4 + pounds.  Was really cool because the ice is clear so I could see him under the ice swimming around the whole time.  I'm off to a good start.

Nice job!!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I'll be able to get out for Xmas down here. There was about 1.5 inches today when I went to pull a couple shiner traps.

Well done. Maybe one of these days I will get up there and do some ice fishing with you and you can put me onto him Smile
