After suffering through this sauna like heat this past week, sundays forecast calling for a high of 80 and low humidity looked like a welcomed reprieve.  My parents where once again visiting from up maine and I figured dad and I would be able to get out again for another morning run.  I knew we were going to have to seek out some serious elevation to avoid stressing the fish so a short drive and hike later we arrived stream side and geared up.  While sitting in a pile of moss tying my flies on I noticed this little guy sitting behind the log near me.

Looks like it could be dangerous, I aint touching it!

I tied on my fathers tippet and flies first and he was off, eager to get at the pool lying at our feet.

After missing the first few it didn't take him long to get back into the swing of things and the fish were coming fast and hard.  I quickly finished up my own string of flies and fished a run below where he was fishing and picked up a small rainbow right off the bat.

I was surprised to find this fish this far up in brookie country, it would be the only one caught all day.  After playing around for a good while in this pool it was time to move on up.

Any spot that looked like it would hold fish did indeed hold fish.

After awhile we came to rather large waterfall, around 10 feet or so with a giant pool at its feet.

A good amount of time was spent here catching some nice fish of decent size for the water.

After fishing this pool we decided it was time for lunch and took a break.  After this we climbed above the falls but did not have much luck and the few I did get where quite small.  We decided it had already been a great day so It was time to head back home in time for an early dinner.  The next morning my parents left again for home but the memories of time spent with dad will live forever Smile

Well done . Looks like a great time . Nice looking water as well .

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
