Thanks for the report Stephen . That is pretty cool the grandson had a hook up on his new rod. Smelt yum yum .
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
Got off to an early start n Sayurday morning......about 10:30 AM. Grandson tried his new rod and after only
a few casts hooked a grilse...It suddenly went airborne right towards hin and managed a bit of slack line and
shook the 3/o barbless Mickey Finn...We fished a few other places that afternoon with no luck....In the evening we
tried the tidal water for striprd bass...but no luck at that either. Sunday morning produced neither salmon or trout.
We changed gears in the afternoonand dipped a few limits of smelt....Therefore I know what to expect for tomorrow's
supper.
In amongst the fishing activities I managed time to negotiate a deal for a building lot on the Little Southwest Miramichi.
My next step is to have an attorney do a little reasearch on the property and handle the paper work....I don't like surprises
in these kind of deals..
While we were there we got a report of a 7 pound trout being caught about a mile downriver from us.
Happy Fishing and Tying
