Just wanted to give you all a quick report. Jay and I went fishing for a couple hours tonight. Would like to say all was peachy but all was not. Jay did fairly well with his emerger that he developed . Think he had a fish on his second cast. Myself found it going a little slow. I did walk up stream and managed to land 3 browns on 3 consecutive cast right before disaster struck . I took a nice dip over my head . Got to complacent and wasn't watching for my footing. Needless to say that water was ice cold . Worse yet my cell phone didn't like the dip either . Now all my gear is on the floor drying out . Wallet to .

Dave I feel for you man, I did the same thing last year with much the same results.  What sometimes works is to take the battery out of the device right away and then pack it in a sealed container covered in rice.  Managed to save my phone, but not my camera, or rod and reel (deep water).

Ziplock sandwich bags are my best friends when I go fishing.
