Well we'd be happy to answer questions and give you a hand here. Where are you located and what type of water you fishing and for what species?
Welcome aboard!

TBone - I am in the Nashua NH Area...Fresh water right now and focusing on trout. I wouldn't sneeze at cathing others but before I started fly fishing I had never caught a trout. Quite the rush after tying my first wolly bugger and catching a brookie on it. Love Bass, Northern, Crappie, etc. but have always envied the fly fisheman in my life. Salt is definitely on the horizon as well as I have many relatives on the cape. SO .... long story short my bucket list begins with the trout species. One more interesting fact. Grew up in the Pulaski NY area. Have lifted my share of steelies, chinook, etc. Really looking forward to getting back up there some day and making it a legal catch.
Welcome David and I will n ow open the entire forum for you.

Well we will definitely have to hit the rivers soon. Are you all equipped for wading? I am anxiously awaiting my next outing, which may or may not be before the ice goes out. I've just been so busy lately that I can't seem to break away. But the time is coming. I keep telling myself I am going to break away hard one way or another come April and May.

Thanks guys. Yes all set to go. I do have waders and itching to try my new 7' 4wt. Considering hitting the Swift on Sunday if I can get some midges tied up.
Welcome aboard, we are always willing to help with your addiction....errr...I mean hobby,
I'm located in Weare, work in Manchester and travel through Nashua at least once a week, so if you are looking for some fishing action just let me know. The guys on this board are a great bunch, we take nothing personally, share what we know, and occasionally get together for a little fishing,
Be sure to look through some of the fishing reports from last year, if you see any spots you like and want to hit them up this year post up and we can make something happen. One of my goals this year is to head out for a little warm water action, large mouth and pickerel on a popper is a lot of fun in the sun.
Oh and watch out for Koda .... he bites.

No so much me, my bears. If they don't take a shine to you you're in a whole heap a trouble
David, welcome to the clan. Stay AWAY from the salt. I did that gig some years back and it took me over. All I wanted to do was bust Blues and Stripers. You think fly rods are an addiction you outa see what the surf will do to your rod building. I got under the tutelage of John Holden in England and after two years managed to lay a 4 oz pyramid sinker and half a pogie 150 meters out in the ocean off the jetty with a 12 foot boron rod I built and a Penn Squidder. Two buddies held my feet down on the rocks when I powered the rod over else I'd have gone right in the drink with the rod. Took me better than 5 years to get back into fresh water. Pretty rough when you catch trout that could be used for bait on a 40 pound striper

Well then we have some arrangements to work out. Maybe Keith can break out his canoe again after the opening rush and we can all hit Willard pond too.
Either way, I'd love to help you with whatever uesful knowledge I might have.

David here...New to fly fishing in the last couple years! I've only been at it since 2000. This past fall I really got into the sport and have dove in over my head. Hoping someone will throw me a rope. So much to learn but thoroughly enjoy the people and the challenge it has been so far!
