99.9% of the time I practice Catch and Release, drives my wife crazy, she likes fish to eat.
Lee
I like Lee practice C&R abot 99% of the time although I do keep a few grilse and trout for the smoker.
When I'm fly fishing all my fish go back. When I ice fish in the winter 99% of them go back . Every now and then I'll keep some to smoke or for supper. Trout are to pretty to eat thats what they made crappie for.
I don't think there is anything wrong with keeping a few fish for a feed but there are still some around here that keep everything they catch! I've seen guys with plastic shopping bags full of 3-6 inch trout .
I have seen those people to. I do not have problem with people who catch and eat fish either. I just like to keep my fish in the water for next time. I laugh when I hear those people say there is no fish in that stream or pond anymore. Well maybe they should have let a few go before they fished it out.
You said it brother I agree 150%.
Why thanks Mike, I was hoping somebody would. Glad to hear it.
Do you keep your fish or do you release your fish ?
Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
