OK guys here are my first two size 32 patterns.  I counted and it is eight or nine wraps of 14/0 thread from eye to bend, not much room to fudge with.

I can't wait to see the midges, I may have to tie up a few as well.  I am looking for some smaller scud hooks now to tie up some micro klinkhammers and drowned spinners.  Locally the smallest I have found is a #20 I may have to order up some #24 & #26's.

On another note; I took a break from the micros last night to tie up some size 12 & 14 nymphs...Man that's a lot of hook to cover!

I think tying on these micro hooks has greatly improved my tying skills.

Laughing Out Loud  I can imagine. When I go back to my 16's it will feel like I am tying on a streamer hook.  I hope like you it improves my tying skills as well. One thing for sure I should be able to see the hooks better.  I can't wait to try the little micros on a fish.

Got my size 32's in today . I am doomedSad These 52 year old eyes are going to have all they can handle with these microscopic hooks,  I might have to buy a new vice to hold them so I am able to tie one up. Wife is all for it .  I have to laugh the dang hooks are the size of Jefferson's nose on a dime .

Keep in mind Dave, if you DO manage to tie up one of them #32 hooks, if you sneeze or blink when a trout hits it you'll straighten the hook right out Laughing Out Loud

 Hi Koda

We can always let the young'uns fish of the wharf and catch a bucket of minnows

We can buy the bucket of minnows and go trolling for real fish...Might be a win win situation..Big GrinBig Grin
