Here's another question for everyone.  What type of fly boxes do you prefer?  Foam? Nubby things?  Just compartments?  Any brand? I'm due for a new one or two and will hopefully have a few flies for them with the new vise coming for X-mas.  I'm pretty set on simple compartment boxes for dries, but could use something to hold and organize the nymphs and wets a bit better.

This is what I use:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/WATERPROOF-FLY-BOX-CLEAR-SIZE-Small-170-Fly-Slots-4-2-x-3-x-1-3-FLIES-TROUT-/221141241668?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item337d0b8f44

They are cheap, you can see what you are going after, and they are water tight (they float when you drop them Angel )

Now if a transparent cover is not all that important to you I know of another great site that sells water tight boxes:

Thanks guys.  That one from EBay looks looks good and a bit smaller than the one you carry Koda.  I've found I prefer slightly smaller boxes that will fit in my pants pocket or into my vest pockets without fighting with them.

You can pick those up most anywhere and in sizes from x-small to xx-large, I just picked the first example and size I came to.  I know Koda has multiple sizes as well, who knows he may even get some of the clear lids back in stock from his friends in the far east.  I picked up four of the large boxes last year at a fish and game show for $20 and a small box was a give away promotion.

I carry two of the larger size boxes in my vest, this is my fly warehouse.  I have a palm size box that I use on the river.  I load it up with my go-to flys and what I think will work that day.

Then in that case my Friend, it just don't get any better than this. My personal favorite fly box. I stick one in my hip pocket, grab the 1 or 2 weight outfit and head for the beaver bog. No vest, not even a net. Light weight fly fishing at its best. And yah, I did in fact run over one. Had to see if it was as rugged as it looks. Yepper, just scratches from the gravel

Good Question.  Me i guess i am a simple kind of guy I have little film canisters and a cheep plastic flip open type . Cost a couple bucks. Fits nicely in my shirt pocket. Carries a few of my favorite flies . Some folks i have seen have them really nice filled to the gills boxes. Sure look pretty . To big for me though.
