As I said, it looks like fun.  But I would have every spare cent invested before long and the wife would be out the door.

So I will have to live vicariously through you my friends.

Why thank you kindly for the "description" Brother Big Grin  Koda has come out of the woods for a day or so while plan B goes into effect. I got an 8 pointer, 192 pounds field dressed Nov 14th with my rebuilt 7600 carbine. The dominant buck in the area was delighted I took out his competator and enlarged the scrape I shot my buck in 2 hours after I got my buck out of the woods! There is now a dripper and a cam on that scrape. If I can pattern him he's gonna meet up with one of Ziggy's G5 broadheads. I'll post all the lovely details as soon as I get done huntin Mr. Green

Well I got the 1wt finished today!  It still needs another 48hrs for the final coat of epoxy to cure before I can fish it but I did take it out for a few casts.  I will never win any distance contests with this little wand but man can I place a fly.  I tied on a #22 Adams and with a light wind blowing was able to set it down light as a feather, on target, at about 15 yrds.  It is a bit faster action than I anticipated but the Rio line is a heavy 1wt so it works.  I finally ended up deciding on just plain black thread with gold bands, I think it works on the green, and it's growing on me.

Now for the real good news, I hit the weight goal and almost came in under.  All up on this bad boy with leader is a whopping 5.15oz.  The balance point is dead center of my palm so it casts with no effort at all.  I can not wait to fish this bad boy.

Looks great!  They seem to go pretty fast once you get wrapping.

Nicely done, That went pretty quick. One thing for sure if anybody steals your rod you will know its yours. Don't think I have seen that color in a rod before .  Can't wait to hear how it cast and to see a photo of your first fish.  Dave V

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
