Yesterday I broke a 4" section off a St. Croix Avid 7' 3 wt, it was a gift from a friend & I am beside myselfSadSadEek!Eek!CryCryMadMad

Has anyone had any experience w/St. Croix's repair/replacement program? This being a gift I'm not sure if it's in warranty, registered, & even if it is it doesn't apply to me.

What to do anyone???????????????

Roofish I guess it all depends on the company. LL-Bean and Gatti have stood by my rods . When I broke my Gatti tip they replaced it . When I lost the tip of my LL-Bean rod they took care of me as well. Shoot them an email . This could be the true test of the type of company your dealing with . My 2 cents Dave V

That sucks Moose schlong Buddy. St Croix is an outstandind outfit. I'll be surprised if they don't do right by you. If on the off chance they don't, let me know. I may may be able to pull some strings for you.

Keep us posted.

I know this spring when half of my TFO rod went for a swim (my dumb**s fault) the folks at Temple Fork stepped up and replaced my entire rod ($25 shipping and processing fee).  It would be nice to have a list of vendors that we know will step up and we can rely on.

Good luck!

Do you think we should have a pinned post for user experiences with companies when they have a problem, that way everyone who has had either a good or bad experience with a company they can tell their story for all to see, would become a good reference for us all.  What do you think???

See Yah
Thanks

Well just got off the phone with St.Croix & I can assure you, they are a very reputable company & very easy to deal with. They will send me a whole new second half for my rod $30 total.

& I consider that excellent customer service.Big GrinClapping
