What are the odds of casting a fly hooking a bird ? Tried to get the tangled mess off the beautiul birds wing . It hopped out of my hands before I could complete the task and it drowned. I felt pretty bad and somewhat cursed all day.

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

About the same odds as hooking a bat, and a beaver. Fortunately, both of mine survived. That stuff sucks but I guess if we're out there it's gonna happen.  That makes 3 events so we should be ok for the rest of the season.

My buddy just had a Kingfisher take the wild brookie he was hauling in, the line broke off mid-flight however.  I guess even the birds are hungry right now.
