Well I couldn't stand it another day off from work and I couldn't sit by one more min without wetting a fly.  A quick trip to Rapid Creek just below the damn on Canyon Lake . I will start off by saying I have no pictures . I want going to take a photo in 102 degree heat.  I slipped on my waders and made my way to the stream. I waded out into the deeper pool close to the dam . The sun was baring down on me like a furnace. I tied on a hopper made several cast but didn't bring any fish to the surface. So I tied on an emeger made a few cast and hooked and landed a nice chunky Brown . I slipped the hook out without removing the fish from the water. Then made a few more cast and I landed another nice chunky Brown . I did the same with this fish removed the hook without removing the fish from the water.  I decided I was going to make this a very short trip or should I say the sun made the decision for me . The water was warmer then I was hoping but the fish seam to be provided with plenty of oxygen.  Plenty of fish were coming to the surface chasing damsels .  So I think these fish will be OK for a while longer . We sure need the cooling rains to insure their survival

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.

Good idea not to stress them with pictures.

Thanks for the update though.  I'm glad to hear that some of the fish are still doing well despite what nature has thrown at them.
