Nice story Lee, but we need more pictures.

I need to get up that way to do a little fishing.  I have only ever fished the Sacco where the Glenn and Ellis merge; got a monster brown there about 25 yrs ago.

Lee, have you ever fished Bemis brook?  I've hiked it many times and it always looks like a prime "wild" trout location.

PS - Post 100!

Bemis brook flows over Arathusa falls and into the Sacco in Crawford notch.

Keith

I kind of thought that but was not sure.  First there is only one C in Saco.   Have you hiked the brook above the falls??  Is there a trail or is it bush whacking??  Would love to find other good wild trout streams, Like Ziggy does.

See Yah
Thanks
Lee

Thanks for catching that Lee, I have a friend, last name Sacco and I always mix them up.

There is an old, disused trail above the falls, a bit overgrown but still passible (at least it was a year ago).  The stretch below the falls looks fantastic, lotsof drops with deep pools.  I may need to grab my friend Shaun and go on an adventure, he's not much of a fly fisherman but he knows every inch of the WMNF.

Last year he and I bushwacked into a drop-pool area where the wild bookies were running into us as we waded.
