Well it was not a hat trick on the 3 species , but it was a hat trick of 3 diffrent methods to catch these nice bows, 1st came on one of the mini buggers i tied up and was largest fish of the trip 17" inches fought like a champ on the 3 wt . i noticed one fish working the wash out he came up twice i am like hmmmmmm mise well try out a dry , so i tied on one of the squirrle tailed caddis sledges i just started tying and wham the fish hit and missed 2 times same cast , i throw it over again and slowly strip it bam Fishing i was on and they were aggresive , all beautiful colors and couple little tail walking shows i did mange to get some good pics before my camera batt died and got a couple pics with my cell. the next thing i tried after i got 2 in a row on my fly was a koda special 2nd cast 2nd strip huge explosion subsurface i was on once again was sweet decided i would go back to the sledge fly and picked up one more before i decided to call it a morn  (HAT TRICK) drys , nymphs and streamers all produced was great couple of hours ... Looking forward to getting into some 20" fish tomorrow in the lakes region Smile i will go threw and pick out some of the better  pics once i can get them loaded on the puter .....

May hit a spot on the tooky this afternoon see how it goes

Stay tunded pics in a couple of hours Clapping

Nice work!

I picked off a 16" hold over in the Exeter River this morning with one of your mini buggers. Didn't have the camera with me. He had orange slashes under his jaw like yours (second from bottom). I've never seen that before.

I wonder Thinking paul does this change your persepctive on painting a fish and if you are doing a fish for a person do you like to have close up pictures or have a standard pattern for each fish?

The more pictures the better! If you can get good close ups I'll match the markings and patterns. I don't use a pattern all my fish are unique.

Nice job you two.  Hay Zig is that ice in your guides ? It's 81F today.  Weird weather you folks are having

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.
On some of the rocks are timeless raindrops. Under the rocks are the words,
and some of the words are theirs.
