I'll wager you do the berries with the smaller model buggers. Next time you get a bow if it's bleeding and floating belly up when you release it, gut it and check the stomach to see what its been eating. The ones under 18 inches eat small stuff. The ones over 18 inches eat the small bows
couple i tied up just messing around i really like the cream colored on see how it goes i like them bothe thought they may work don't know unless ya try right so i am going up to try and see what happens i have a olive peacock herl bugger and the cream colored one as dropper see if it works if there are any hungry fish to start with lol.
Very intresting Zig. I bet they take fish. Full report required once you wet these babies.
downsized my woolybugger i like to tie i got some smaller beads 1/8" and some long shank 10's and 12's to tie some up been messing around they came out good i also taught my self to finish the flies real good like . i have been struggling witht the whip finisher simple thing thats kicks my A$$ everytime it seems lol so now i just lay a loop of string go over it 8 wraps and cut thread slip it threw loop and pull it threw works sweet . its the same way i learned to wrap the guides on the rod
will be the way i do it from now on with a little head cement it should be all good.
gonna look up some beadhead nymphs to try next gotta start to broaden my horizons for tying i want to find a half a dozen patterns i use all the time and get good at them
i have to get more beads and have scud type hooks wanna figure out good pattern for them as well ... little by little when i get good at a nymph i like and that produces i will tie it for a while until i move on
here is orginal on #6 i tied and the mini #10 i think they will work slick
only one way to find out ... if i don;t get blown away i may hit river for hour or so ... nice to have it with in 10 min if i get cold or the fish kick my ass its not a long defeated walk home
