as Theron had stated in his story about the day we had with both our heavier and light weight gear it was simply one of the best days i have ever had with my fly gear i ahve had 30 fish day on trout that didn't shake a stick at today it was non stop fishing and actually catching for 5 hours straight . this is a bit i  had to say about the day to a friend i emailed .

Went to the mouth of a lake where the river dumps in today figuring the trout in the lake may be up feeding with my buddy armed with his new 2wt , but to my surprise we found the local crappie, it was crazy we brought out 5 wts to start and once we started casting the crappie were hitting one after another and some nice pumkinseeds and sunfish all huge like on steriods LOL all the crappies were well over 12" and i think the biggest i got was around 18" so crazy was one of the best fly fishing days i have ever had easily 75 fish to 100 in about 6 hours , at one point i counted a dozen casts with a dozen hooks ups no BULL ,so much fun on the 3 wt bent it in half on many occasions was great test bet it will land 5 lb trout no problem.. enjoy the pics all with camera phone so i appoligize for the quality

Here are all the pics i got enjoy Smile

Okay so I've never been good at estimating size so I refer you to Brandon's estimation as the accurate one.

But none the less after a day like today....  Well lets just say it is going to be hard to top this, even with trout.

And...  Brandon, Thank you!  It is always a pleasure to wet a line with you.

Eventually, all things merge into one, and a river runs through it. The river was
cut by the world's great flood and runs over rocks from the basement of time.

with all the excitment i ment to share i recived the swap flies and i was really impressed, some patterns i have used and was surprised to get the woodduck heron flies them are my fav streamer and also invented by a close friend of mines father who just passed he will be missed and was a great fisherman and above all a great person in general. any who i set out only to use the swap flies for the trip and you see what happened most came on the wood duck heron and orange and i got a few on daves dry . i really didn't try too many i was catching so many fish seems just about anything would have worked Smile

I got a special place in mind when the rain slows for kodas beautiful streamers Winkwill post report when i get back may just go in the rain i got waders and rainjacket and the way i see it the fish are allready wet so what do they care Smile

Heck ya Zig get back out there . Rain should never stop a fly fisherman. As long as the shiny flashing stuff isn't around. You know the stuff followed by a big rumble. Eek!    By the way if you could do me a big favor. Send some of that wet stuff my way. I really hate to go to my rain dance again. At my age all kinds of bad crap can happen. Well good luck out there on the water, Off to work for me .

Heck ya for a phone video that came out pretty good. My cheep phone couldnt do that. Keep the reports coming . Thumbup

Man you guys KILLED em!  The best of the best was the vid of T Bone with the 2 wt. That fish hit and the rod went into super vibe mode! Simply Outstanding!!!!

Hot Damn T Bone, ya'll are a movie star now!   You look every bit as good with that 2 Wt as Lee Wulff himself Big Grin

Of course Ziggy, that makes you a movie Director now Mr. Green  Pretty soon we'll be watching your films on the Sportsman Channel!

Hey, don't anybody laugh, there's BIG money in that.

Looks like each of you have earned a..............Mr. Quiggly
