going out to day i will be fishing a brook for the 1st time , i have some ideas how to approach it , but wanted some insight on how others would approach the same secnerio .......... figure drys prob not so much this time of year but will try all i can to see what is gonna happen nymphs  and streamers is what i am leaning towards see how it goes ... like i said blind, not even sure if this place holds any fish Smile

If it were me . Hmm . I think I would tie on an emerger or a tiny pheasant tail nymph. Midges should still work. A black gnat . Have a good time Zig. Would love to go out today myself but the winds are at 60 MPH right now . Be safe them icy edges are a bitch

I'd probe with a nymph, and small sizes at that. I think the ponds would offer more in the way of action as the brooks are still pretty cold. In any event, good luck, and keep us posted Big Grin
